Athens Open Studio is an artist-run space in central Athens that offers personalised mentoring services within the creative disciplines.
Athens Open Studio was founded in 2018 by artists Lily Hassioti and Ileana Arnaoutou. The idea of the studio was instigated by their vision to share their experience of studying in art school with creative individuals that wish to pursue a similar path.
Throughout the years Athens Open Studio has developed a high-level and specialized know-how in arts education and consultation, building a competitive methodology for preparing prospective students for university. Athens Open Studio has guided over 60 students in achieving their top university and career choices.

Who we are
Lily Hassioti and Ileana Arnaoutou are both practicing artists and art tutors. Currently all mentoring sessions are run by Ileana Arnaoutou.

Lily Hassioti
Lily Hassioti studied BA (Hons) Fine Art in the University of Dundee, specialising in new media, installation and digital art. She recently graduated from the MFA Computational Arts from Goldsmiths University in London and holds the position of Computational Arts Technician at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL. In 2020 Lily was awarded the ARTWORKS fellowship funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

Ileana Arnaoutou
Ileana Arnaoutou is a practising artist, working with sculpture and painting, based in Athens. She graduated from UCL with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the Slade School of Fine Art, and an MA in History of Art. In 2020 she was awarded the ARTWORKS fellowship funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and in 2022 the G&A Mamidakis Foundation Art Prize, and in 2025 the Ducato Art Prize in Italy. She has exhibited nationally and internationally.
